Visualizing Design Principles
During my internship at Tipalti, I was tasked with creating a visual representation of the company’s design principles, which were defined in an internal workshop before I joined. The goal was to create a visual tool that would inspire and guide the design team.
Process
From Idea to Visual
Research
Studied how other companies present their design principles.
Brainstorming
Developed associations and visual ideas for each principle
Card Design
Created a series of cards with one side featuring a visual image (sometimes abstract) and the other side a detailed written explanation.
Refinement
Consulted with my team and manager, received feedback, and refined the visuals accordingly.
Final Design
Design Principles Cards
A practical and visually engaging set of cards that serves as inspiration and guidance for the team on the company’s design principles.
